استخدمت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية حق النقض (الفيتو)، ضد الشعب الفلسطيني، (46) مرة، ابتداءً بالفيتو الأول، عام (1973)، وكان يطالب؛ بالانسحاب من الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، ويؤكد على حق الفلسطينيين المشروع في إقامة دولة مستقلة، وعاصمتها القدس.

ووفقا للأرقام الرسمية، فقد تم استخدام حق النقض؛ (260) مرة، منذ تأسيس مجلس الأمن الدولي، كان نصيب أمريكا وحدها (114) فيتو، من بينها (80) فيتو استخدمت لمنع إدانة إسرائيل بشكل عام.

وكان آخر فيتو أمريكي جاء لصالح إسرائيل، هذا العام (2024)، ويدعو لوقف إطلاق النار في غزة، وكانت تقدمت الجزائر بهذا المشروع، ورفضته الولايات المتحدة بعد موافقة أربعة عشر دولة على قرار وقف الحرب، وفيتو أمريكي أبطل القرار.
